This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 08:00 - 17:00, with every other weekend hours as needed and call requirements of 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our PACU team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia and provide care according to PACU protocols.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies.
• Conduct thorough assessments and address patient needs promptly.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and family members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in PACU, ICU, or ER settings.
• Current RN licensure in West Virginia.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS preferred; ASPAN certification preferred.
