In this role, you'll provide respiratory care services, support pulmonary rehabilitation efforts, and work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes. Join us and make a difference every day.Responsibilities:Assess residents with pulmonary diseases, respiratory disorders, and related complicationsPerform and interpret respiratory assessments, diagnostic testing, and pulmonary function evaluationsCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plansAdminister respiratory treatments, aerosol medications, inhalants, and chest physiotherapyMonitor resident response to treatment and adjust care recommendations as appropriateOperate and monitor ventilators, tracheostomy equipment, oxygen therapy devices, and other respiratory care equipmentProvide resident and family education regarding respiratory treatments and equipment useAssist with discharge planning and coordination of respiratory equipment needsMaintain accurate documentation and clinical recordsServe as a respiratory care resource and educator for facility staffFollow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standardsPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements:Current New York State Respiratory Therapist License requiredVentilator and tracheostomy experience requiredLong-term care experience preferredStrong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skillsAbility to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team membersExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate documentationPhysical ability to perform frequent standing, walking, and resident care activities, including lifting up to 20 poundsBenefits:Paid Time Off (PTO) for Full-Time and Part-TimeWeekly or Same-Day Pay OptionsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramRetirement Saving OptionsLicenses & Certifications Required Respiratory Therapist Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
