Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/Tele Float Pool

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with weekend requirements scheduled as every other weekend.

Job Description: The MedSurg/Tele Float Pool RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple units. The nurse will manage a patient load primarily consisting of 5 to 6 patients, with occasional increases depending on acuity. Care responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams across various units.
• Conduct patient assessments and document care in electronic systems.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips; manage basic telemetry patients.
• Participate in unit-specific and hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience passing a cardiac rhythm exam is necessary.
• Knowledge in managing CPAP and BiPAP equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
