Job Summary The Assistant Construction Manager is responsible for obtaining technical expertise in new home construction to establish a solid foundation and understanding of the basic aspects of construction. This position assists more senior Construction Managers and/or direct supervisors in performing their duties and responsibilities. Primary Job Responsibilities Complete Division and/or Construction Manager orientation, onboarding, and training programs (e.g., Pulte Construction Standards, scheduling, job site rules, safety, warranty, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. Develop literacy in building codes, construction and technical language, plan reading, construction materials, construction schedules, and construction methodologies and standards. Assist other Construction Managers and/or direct supervisors in performing their duties and responsibilities, including, but not limited to: Monitoring job sites Validating schedule progression Coordinating on-site inspections Review and understand the Customer Care service process Validating work is complete to quality standards and expectations Coordinate the completion of work as directed by the manager Gain knowledge and expertise in the utilization of Pulte systems and processes including, but not limited to, Schedule, Field Purchase Order, Dynamics 365. Learn the steps and build proficiency in the Build Quality Experience and Customer Quality Experience. Assist in scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities in accordance with job schedule and scopes of work. Monitor subdivision cleanliness and hold trade partners responsible for daily clean-up. Gain understanding of the Scope of Work for all trade partners. Perform other duties as assigned. Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, less complex projects or task- related activities. Work is closely supervised. Knowledge & Experience Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through specific education and training Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 year of prior relevant experience. Required Skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to read blueprints General knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes preferred Basic computer literacy Required Licensing, Registration And/or Certifications Valid driver’s license as driving is an essential function of this position Physical Requirements Position involves sitting, standing, driving, and/or movement, the ability to exert a minimal force of up to 50 pounds and occasionally exert up to 80 pounds of minimal force to carry, lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and other means to reach and observe all areas of the building. Ability to work in various weather conditions – heat, rain, cold, etc. Pay Information $29.00 - $35.00 hourly Hired applicant will be eligible to earn overtime and monthly bonuses. General Description Of Benefits In addition to up to 9 paid company holidays per year, employees are eligible for up to 6 days of sick pay. Moreover, eligible employees with less than 10 years of service can accrue up to 17 PTO days per year (and up to 22 PTO days per year upon 10 or more years of service).
