Nurse Practitioner

Job Details Position: Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (Full‑time) Salary: $100,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year Schedule: Monday to Friday day shift Work Location: On the road (travel to multiple skilled nursing facilities) Responsibilities Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long‑term care Travel daily to various facilities; regions vary based on scheduling needs Examine and treat chronic and acute episodic wound‑related illnesses and accidents, minor injuries, and accidents Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate follow‑up Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures associated with wound care Work with the medical director in the care and treatment of residents and staff Debride wounds via sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, or surgical methods safely at the point of care Apply and manage topical wound care and associated wound management products Recommend associated services to improve wound healing outcomes Educate patients and primary care physicians on current wound management practices Qualifications Proof of Covid vaccination Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program Approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts Master’s degree in Nursing Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Physical Requirements Stand and walk for 4+ hours Lift 100 pounds to assist fallen residents Lift 10 pounds for routine functions Pushing/pulling 70+ pounds when administering patient care Bending/squatting/kneeling/twisting when administering patient care Depth perception when performing medical procedures Work Environment May be exposed to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.), and chemical hazards. Will travel to multiple skilled nursing facilities within your local area.
