Sanitation AssociateThe Sanitation Associate has primary responsibility for ensuring the egg processing room is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to meet all food safety and quality standards. This role is essential to creating a safe, efficient, and compliant processing environment by maintaining cleanliness across equipment, surfaces, and work areas.Essential Characteristics:Performs reliably and predictably over time.Pays close attention to detail.Reliable and consistently fulfills obligations.Completes tasks with minimal waste of time and resources.Works proactively without supervision.Essential Skills:Manages multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.Performs tasks with precision and attention to detail.Follows through on tasks, ensuring completion and success.Works independently with minimal supervision.Prioritizes tasks based on importance and urgency.Essential Duties:Clean, wash, and sanitize all processing room equipment, surfaces, floors, and work areas according to Westfield sanitation procedures and regulatory requirementsDisassemble, clean, and reassemble processing equipment as neededOperate sanitation tools and equipment safely and efficiently (hoses, foaming systems, pressure washers, etc.)Inspect the processing area and equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for productionRemove waste and ensure proper disposal according to company proceduresIdentify and report any maintenance, safety, or equipment issues to the Lebanon Operations ManagerFollow all safety, food safety, and biosecurity protocols at all timesOther duties as assignedWork Schedule:Part time hours that can be scheduled Monday–Thursday, between the hours of 4 pm and 9 pm. The amount of hours may vary based on the level of cleaning needed each day.Requirements:Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Prior experience in sanitation or food production preferred but not required.Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.Strong commitment to quality and safety.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.Complete support of and willing adherence to Westfield Egg Farm's mission, vision and core values. Sitting may be required at times. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus. The work environment may involve occasional exposure to airborne particles, chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, moving machinery, vibration, and temperature extremes.
