Equity Trading Analyst

Job Overview Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking an Equity Trading Analyst to join our Capital Partners team in the U.S. The role involves supporting trading, portfolio construction, and ETF operations for our institutional clients. Key Responsibilities Equity Trading: learn the responsibilities of the current buy‑side trader and serve as an independent backup when needed. Review Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and help develop trading strategies based on results. Manage sell‑side relationships and leverage the latest broker tools. ETF Support: provide support for Equity ETFs, learn the internal ETF ecosystem, improve processes, and execute ETF orders efficiently and accurately. Portfolio Management Support: assist portfolio managers across equity products with operational tasks, construct equity strategy trades for institutional accounts and funds, and collaborate with BBH Relationship Managers to address account questions and build trades. Additional operational tasks may include cash management, proxy reporting, broker research budgeting, and daily break reconciliation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (required). Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Fast learner, adaptable, disciplined, and detail oriented. Prior trading and/or portfolio implementation experience is a plus. Experience with Charles River and Bloomberg is a plus. SQL or other coding skills would be beneficial. Salary and Benefits Base salary range for NewYork: $85,000–$105,000, plus an annual bonus. BBH’s compensation package includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit‑sharing.
