Job Title: Specialist, Production PlanningJob Code: 44989Job Location: Palm Bay, FloridaJob Schedule: Standard 9/80Job Description:L3Harris is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Planning Specialist to support preparation and execution activities on programs building and testing space payloads. The hardware produced at this location is mission critical and often complex, containing circuit card assemblies, mechanical mission payloads, complex microelectronic assemblies and higher-level system assemblies including small satellites and top-level space vehicles.This position is located in Florida: Essential Functions:Manufacturing Order & Schedule Execution: Create, open, maintain, and close manufacturing work orders within operating systems while ensuring operational milestones are completed, received into inventory, and synchronized with Quality Control (QC) closures and Product Data Management (PDM/PLM) as-built configurations.Develop, maintain, and update daily Line of Balance (LOB) trackers and production schedules to align hardware build progress with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).Generate and distribute daily and weekly priority dispatch lists to assembly operators, test technicians, and manufacturing personnel to balance work center capacity, queue times, and manufacturing throughput.Audit and validate cross-system setup readiness across MRP, PLM, and Production Systems prior to order release, proactively monitoring Work-in-Process (WIP) dashboards to resolve material shortages, open non-conformances, and routing exceptions.Coordinate material kitting and kit verification processes with warehousing and inventory control, including incorporating delivery instructions on work orders, reconciling kit shortages with Material Management, and managing approved shortage releases.Maintain proper control of shop floor inventory and Point-of-Use (POU) storage areas, establishing visual management controls, participating in periodic cycle count reconciliations, and ensuring secure segregation of deliverable versus non-deliverable material.Assist in review of Manufacturing Work Authorization Documentation to determine feasibility of execution.Participate in daily shop floor Gemba walks, material status reviews, and Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings while identifying and driving Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and streamline manufacturing workflowsMust be willing to obtain a US security clearance as a job requirementQualifications:Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 4 years relevant industry experience, Graduate Degree and minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience, or in-lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of relevant prior experience.Experience in working within a production planning capacity having direct impacts to workflow and execution.Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Project.Preferred Additional Skills:Material Requirements Planning Systems proficiency (Cincom Control, SAP, or equivalent)Product Lifecycle Management Systems proficiency (Agile, Windchill, or equivalent)Electronic Manufacturing Execution System proficiency (Aegis Fusion, FactoryLogix, Solumina, or equivalent)Current Secret or TS/SCI security clearanceGood communication skills including the ability to deliver effective presentations to peers, management, and potentially customers.#LI-LS4
