Sr. Staff Accountant

*This will be a fully onsite role 5x a week in Chicago (River North Area) What You're Looking For: 3–6 years of accounting experience, ideally in a fast‑paced or high‑growth environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA candidate preferred) Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting Experience with month‑end close, general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Hands‑on experience with accounts payable, invoice processing, and expense management Experience using accounting/ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Intacct, or similar) and advanced Excel skills Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Process improvement mindset with experience documenting procedures and strengthening internal controls Comfortable collaborating cross‑functionally with Finance, FP&A, HR, and Operations teams Experience supporting audits, compliance, and financial documentation Typical Responsibilities: Manage key aspects of the month‑end close process Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports Oversee accounts payable and vendor invoice processing Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure GAAP compliance Support audits, tax preparation, and regulatory complianceImprove accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls Assist with ERP/accounting system implementations or optimizations Partner with cross‑functional teams to support financial planning and operational reporting Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to leadership #J-18808-Ljbffr
