Telecom OSS Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Telecom OSS Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Operations Support Systems (OSS) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom technologies, project management, and cross-functional team leadership. This role will be responsible for managing OSS platform enhancements, provisioning systems, network operations projects, and portal/UI-related initiatives while ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Telecom OSS projects, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, network operations teams, architects, developers, QA teams, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive project planning, status reporting, issue resolution, and governance activities.
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to project management best practices.
• Oversee OSS provisioning, service activation, inventory management, fault management, and related operational processes.
• Track project progress using JIRA and other project management tools.
• Manage change requests, release planning, and deployment activities.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delivery impact.
• Provide regular updates and executive-level reporting to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Project Management or Delivery Management.
• Experience delivering Telecom OSS projects and operational support systems initiatives.
• Strong understanding of OSS domains such as Service Provisioning, Service Activation, Inventory Management, Fault Management, and Network Operations.
• Proven experience managing platform, application, and portal/UI development projects.
• Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Telecom industry experience with service providers, network operators, or telecom technology organizations.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications.
• Experience with OSS/BSS integration projects.
• Knowledge of network technologies, service assurance, and telecom operations.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and digital transformation initiatives.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
