About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Telemetry)

Boston, MA | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days/Nights | 8-hour and 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend and holidays required | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a medical surgical float pool supporting up to 15 units, including specialties such as neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, GYN/GU, hips and joints, oncology, transplant (liver and kidney), and vascular
• Perform unit-specific procedures including 12-lead EKGs, Lasix drips, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring
• Administer nebulizer treatments; collaborate with respiratory therapy for ventilator management
• Maintain patient ratios averaging 4:1 on days and up to 6:1 on nights
• Document accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Maintain current Massachusetts RN licensure and adhere to all facility and unit-specific protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required
• Minimum 3 years of related nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• CPR certification through AHA required
• ACLS certification through AHA required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications
