Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesRole OverviewThe Senior Payroll Analyst will manage and execute end‑to‑end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payment for employees. This role requires strong technical payroll knowledge, attention to detail, and partnership with HR, Accounting, and Tax.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Processing & ComplianceProcess bi‑weekly/semimonthly payroll, including salaries, bonuses, and equity‑related payments.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.Review payroll reports, deductions, and tax withholdings for accuracy.Reconciliations & Accounting SupportPrepare payroll journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Support accruals for payroll, bonuses, and benefits.Coordinate payroll‑related audit and SOX support.Equity & Benefits CoordinationPartner with HR and Stock Administration on equity compensation payroll impacts.Support payroll aspects of benefits, garnishments, and leaves.Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to automate or streamline payroll processes.Assist with system upgrades, implementations, or vendor changes.Cross‑Functional CollaborationServe as a point of contact for HR, Finance, and employees on payroll matters.Support year‑end activities including W‑2s and audits.QualificationsRequired4–6+ years of payroll processing experience in a complex organization.Strong knowledge of payroll tax and wage/hour regulations.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail.PreferredCPP (Certified Payroll Professional).Experience with equity compensation payroll.Experience in a SOX‑compliant environment.Payroll system experience (ADP).Why Join Onto Innovation?At Onto Innovation, we believe your work should matter—and so should your well-being.
