Job Summary and Qualifications\n As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit, you will ensure and deliver high quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource person for staff and models’ commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. \n \n · You will exercise judgement and provide direction regarding patient care assignments using established policies and procedures. \n · You will ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory standards. \n · You will assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care. \n · You will collaborate with subject matter experts and other leaders to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service. \n · You will support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounding and other initiatives. \n · You will function as a resource person for staff members. Provide coaching, feedback and training to improve performance and engagement. \n · You will provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively superior organization. \n · You will assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. \n \n \n \n What qualifications you will need:\n \n Required Education: Associates Degree of Science in Nursing \n Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree \n Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON \n Required Experience: Must have one year of nursing experience \n Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider \n Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty \n Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date \n Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date \n \n Benefits \n Mission Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
