Classification: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Schedule: Sporadic Part-time Hours

Job Overview: The Stock Lead plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient store operations, driving product availability and maintaining high standards of presentation. This position combines inventory management, customer service, and operational oversight, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with the sales team and leadership on the sales floor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate deep product knowledge and utilize sales strategies to drive performance.
• Provide coverage on the sales floor and assist with customer needs as required.
• Open and close the store, ensuring all operational tasks are completed.
• Inspect merchandise for damage or imperfections, logging and handling defective items per store policy.
• Manage inventory processes, including logging items, following shipment procedures, and organizing stock in both on-site and off-site storage areas.
• Stock and replenish sales floor displays (shelves, racks, etc.) with new products, ensuring visual standards are met.
• Dispose of packaging materials and empty boxes, maintaining a tidy environment.
• Monitor and address shipment discrepancies, logging them as needed for resolution.
• Maintain awareness of sales promotions and product knowledge to assist customers and meet store targets.
• Collaborate with the Presentation Manager to adjust front-of-house displays for new arrivals and seasonal changes.
• Ensure back-of-house areas are organized, clean, and compliant with operational standards.
• Operate the computerized register system and assist with general store tasks and customer transactions.
• Assist in training new team members and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
• Take initiative to work independently and handle other duties as required to ensure smooth store operations.
• Adapt and pivot to act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when needed, providing leadership, handling customer concerns, and ensuring smooth store operations.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Previous retail or stock management experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and thrive under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Flexible schedule with a willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable working with diverse clients and team members.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for logging shipment discrepancies and inventory management.

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Outlook/email.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift boxes weighing at least 40lbs
