Location: Bay City, MI

Pay Rate: $25/hr

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm; Rotating Saturdays

Why This Role Matters

As a Phlebotomist, you play a critical role in the healthcare process by ensuring patient specimens are collected accurately, safely, and efficiently. Your professionalism and attention to detail help support timely diagnoses and quality patient care.

What You'll Do

• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations

• Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures

• Verify patient identification, demographics, and specimen labeling to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Maintain required records and documentation while protecting patient confidentiality

• Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming, professional environment for patients

• Perform specimen collection and processing duties in accordance with clinical and forensic collection procedures

• Support operations at multiple patient service centers or physician offices as needed

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

• Phlebotomy certification preferred

• Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

• Patient Service Center experience preferred

• Strong customer service and patient communication skills

• Keyboarding and data entry experience

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations as needed

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment

• Ability to meet compliance requirements
