General Foreman

Responsibilities: Supervise crews and subcontractors during underground construction projects. Coordinate daily activities, including planning hole paths, selecting drill bits, and managing equipment logistics. Operate or oversee operation of drill rigs, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Conduct pre‑shift inspections and safety meetings; ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures. Monitor performance, adjust parameters as needed, and troubleshoot equipment issues. Maintain accurate records of progress, materials used, and crew activity. Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of fluids and materials. Assist with training and mentoring crew. Enforce company policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and site‑specific rules. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification a plus. 5+ years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Experience in electrical work Experience with underground and aboveground utility installation. Proven leadership and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Working knowledge of job safety analysis (JSA), hazard assessments, and related safety documentation. Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including confined spaces and varying weather. Working Conditions: Majority of work is performed on active construction sites. May involve long hours, night shifts, and weekend work depending on project demands. Must be able to work in underground environments, including confined or low‑light areas.
