Maintenance TechnicianGreenwood Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility, in Evanston, IL, Seeks a Maintenance Technician. This is a Full Time Opportunity, with an Hourly Rate of $19.50, Plus Benefits. The Schedule is Wednesday - Sunday, from 9am-5pm. Submit your resume today!The Maintenance Technician will work under the Supervision of the Maintenance Director.Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:Troubleshoot any emergencies or urgent repairsMake all necessary repairs as neededComplete daily work ordersEnsure the proper maintenance of electricity, plumbing and all equipmentInspect and repair all damages to building surfaces, painting as necessaryCheck and replace filtersInstall appliances and equipmentWork indoors and outdoors as neededAdhere to quality standards of health and safety regulationsWill be on call occasionallyRequirements of the Maintenance Technician:High School Diploma or G.E.D. requiredAt least one or more years of general maintenance, building operations and/or housekeeping experienceUnderstanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) building systems.Skills in minor carpentry, painting, patching drywall, and changing light fixturesKnowledge of cleaning techniques, trash disposal, lawn care, and maintaining property curb appealAbility to safely use power toolsPrevious experience in a residential health care setting a plusGood communication skills a mustAble to work well independentlyGreenwood Care is a 24/7 facility dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals affected by chronic psychiatric disorders.
