Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab Job Overview The experienced Cath Lab RN is responsible for general nursing activities in the Invasive Cardiovascular Lab (ICVL), providing quality patient care. The RN provides direct patient care to cardiovascular patients with varied and complex needs, assumes progressive responsibility for nursing activities, and participates in or plans departmental initiatives. Qualifications and Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current New Jersey RN license. 2+ years’ experience in ICU/Critical Care. 2+ years direct Cath Lab procedural nursing experience preferred. EKG, BLS via American Heart Association, and ACLS certification. Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital to meet required response time for call shifts. Scheduling Requirements Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM. 12‑hour shifts, on‑call shifts required. Essential Functions Provide nursing care within the scope of practice and regulatory standards; observe ethical principles. Maintain knowledge, advance learning, and communicate with the patient‑care team. Report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Understand patient population and supervise delegation of tasks. Set priorities and evaluate outcomes for continuous improvement. Integrate all aspects of care using the nursing process to individualize the plan of care. Other Duties Job duties may change at any time with or without notice.
