Product Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Product Engineer based in Zeeland, MI, with flexibility for some remote work. The Product Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing new products, contributing to research and development (R&D) initiatives, and ensuring innovative solutions meet customer needs. Additional responsibilities include conducting analyses to improve product performance, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and effectively communicating technical concepts to stakeholders. Essential Job Functions Apply new technologies to develop products that solve customer needs. Broad understanding of engineering principles Take a concept from idea phase through to production launch. Develop and execute testing plans for novel concepts. Apply tools like DFMEA, DVP&R, Cost Estimates, and work within a stage‑gate process. Collaborate within cross‑functional teams to meet project deliverables. Embrace the iterative nature of R&D, knowing when to pause or persevere. Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. 0-3+ years experience with new product development. Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Strong problem‑solving skills and curiosity. Effective communication and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks independently. Familiarity with injection molding and extrusions; experience with glass or building materials a plus. Oracle or ERP system experience a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr ODL, Inc
