Beach Attendant

Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa is currently seeking a Beach Attendant to join our team Basic Purpose Assists with maximization of guest satisfaction. Help answer any questions or concerns a guest may have. Responsibilities Welcome guests to the beach; and day to day interaction Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging services Ensure guests are aware of all services and activities available at the beach Hand out towels to guests Bring in dirty towels from bins Set-up and break-down equipment and put in storage Follow departmental policies and procedures Inventory control Other duties assigned Supportive Functions In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions. Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to the Security Department Attend all mandatory meetings Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guests Keep work area neat and organized Complete all other duties assigned by Supervisor Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability Ability to provide excellent customer service Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Highly responsible and reliable Ability to focus attention on guest needs Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in uncertain conditions Ability to deal with differing opinions, cultural values, languages of young guests Physical Aspects of Position Frequent standing and walking throughout shift Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30lbs Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions Grooming/Uniforms All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Uniforms will be provided. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and be available to work weekends and holidays.
