Travel Physical Therapist - $2,376 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The position is paid for 8‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with a tax‑free stipend. The travel assignment includes comprehensive benefits and support from a dedicated clinical team. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, maintaining proper calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, interventions, outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other health professionals for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment adhering to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulations. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy (new graduates welcome). Additional certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication. Reading, writing, and communication in English. PC skills proficiency. Physical and Medical Requirements Remain stationary, move, move 50‑100 lbs equipment, push, pull, bend. Interpersonal Skills Work effectively with a variety of personnel, present positive attitude, professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills Fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures, use equipment. Mental and Sensory Requirements Handle frequent contact with public, meet deadlines under pressure.
