Workers Compensation Case Manager (Torrance)

Overview

Boutique Workers’ Compensation and Employment Firm seeks a legal assistant/ case manager for our Workers’ Compensation Department. Must have 1+ years of experience. The successful candidate will have experience processing all aspects of a workers’ compensation case under the direction of an experienced attorney and with the assistance of a support team. We are looking for a results-driven individual, who works well under pressure, and can prioritize and balance competing demands. Must be Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

• Preparing applications; petitions; DORs (including e-filing)
• Drafting written correspondence
• Scheduling depositions; scheduling medical appointments, including AME and PQME evaluations
• Requesting QME Panels
• IMR appeals, preparing outgoing correspondence and schedules of records
• Maintaining and organizing files, and managing case files from intake to settlement
• Communicating with clients and opposing counsel and fielding incoming calls
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook and possess excellent writing skills
• Preparing the files for the attorney for upcoming hearings
• MerusCase familiarity is a plus

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in workers’ compensation or a related field
• Must be Spanish speaking
