We are seeking a motivated Recruiting Intern to support high-volume production hiring in an automotive manufacturing environment. This intern will assist with reviewing applications, contacting and screening candidates, scheduling interviews, coordinating pre-employment requirements, maintaining accurate recruiting records, preparing onboarding paperwork, and supporting new-hire orientation and follow-up. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, dependable, comfortable communicating with a diverse workforce, able to manage multiple priorities, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in recruiting, human resources, and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with posting job openings on internal and external job boards
• Screen resumes and applications for hourly positions
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers
• Communicate with candidates regarding application status and next steps
• Support sourcing efforts through job boards and career fairs
• Maintain and update candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Help track and report recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and applicant flow
• Assist with onboarding preparation, including pre-employment documentation and new hire communication
• Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process
• Support employer branding initiatives and recruiting events
• Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations throughout the hiring process

Safety, Health, and Environment (SH&E) responsibilities include:

• Provide a safe and healthful work environment that is free of all recognized hazards for employees, contractors, and visitors
• Support continual improvement of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Systems
• Advise employees, contractors and visitors of any actual or potential danger to their safety or health and ensure the necessary training and/or personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.
• Cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection.
• Know, follow and enforce all applicable SH&E Rules, Policies, and Procedures.
• Help support Group SH&E Performance Measurables such as incident rate reduction, near miss reporting, and Safety Committee participation. Overall performance to the measurable elements of our SH&E system are part of annual performance review.

Education:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR within a manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of HR principles and employment practices preferred
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HR systems is a plus
• Previous internship, campus involvement, or work experience in a professional setting preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to interact effectively with candidates, employees, and hiring managers at all levels

• Ability to move throughout the plant
• Extended sitting and standing; reaching and bending
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required
• Loud work environment; compliance with personal protective equipment as required
