The Role at a Glance:

As a Host/Hostess & Takeout Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our guests as they arrive at the restaurant. You will provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, manage reservations, and handle takeout orders with efficiency and accuracy.

What You'll Be Doing:

Hosting:

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude as they arrive.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating plan to ensure smooth dining service.
• Answer phone calls, assist with inquiries, and take reservations over the phone.
• Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and ensuring a positive initial experience.
• Manage waitlist and accurately estimate wait times to guests.
• Collaborate with servers and other team members to ensure efficient table turnover.

Takeout Cashier:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests placing takeout orders.
• Accurately input orders into the system and ensure all special requests are noted.
• Calculate order totals, process payments, and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Package takeout orders efficiently and ensure they are ready for pickup on time.
• Answer phone calls for takeout orders, provide information on menu items, and offer suggestions.
• Maintain a clean and organized takeout area, restocking supplies as needed.

Must-Haves:

Hosting:

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a guest-facing role is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle busy periods effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A positive and friendly demeanor, with a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Takeout Cashier:

• Previous experience in cashiering or customer service.
• Strong mathematical skills and accuracy in processing transactions.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems or cash registers.
• Effective communication skills for phone and in-person interactions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and completeness.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
