Shift: Second Shift

Description: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for consistently conducting incoming and outgoing inspections to ensure strict adherence to established customer specifications and quality standards. The role works closely with Shipping/Receiving and Customer Service to maintain organizational compliance with these standards. Responsibilities: Conducts work in-process audits and final inspection and testing consistent with quality, assurance policies, procedures, methods, and standards. • Records above inspection information consistent with prescribed methods and procedures. • Assists with the unpacking and repacking of customer orders as needed to ensure customer owned parts are received and shipped in quality condition. • Maintain a safe and orderly work area, comply with safety rules and practices, and promote a positive work attitude throughout the department. • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure workflow continuity and quality. Strive for continuous improvement in day-to-day responsibilities, report job-related issues, and maintain the ability to differentiate coating colors. • Take responsibility for implementing and maintaining the 5S Program in the coating room and other assigned areas to ensure organization and efficiency. Other duties as assigned Competences • Time management and communication • Data Recording and documentation • Organizational and Detail oriented Education and Language Skills • High School Diploma/or equivalent • Minimum of 1-2 years in a Quality Control Inspector role • Manufacturing Industry Experience; not required but preferred • Ability to read instructions in English Performance Indicators • Inspection accuracy rate • Timeliness of inspection • On-time delivery Physical Demands and Working Environment • Work is performed primarily in a plant environment to include moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Safety Glasses and closed toed shoes should be worn at all times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a plant setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, reach; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to heavy amounts of weight (up to 50 lbs.); and/or to operate equipment that may require repetitive hand movement. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
