Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, dishes, and cooking equipment while supporting the overall flow of our bustling kitchen. Your enthusiasm and commitment to food safety will help us maintain the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout each shift
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas during service hours
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including dishwashers and cleaning machinery
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required—training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Excellent teamwork skills to support kitchen staff during busy hours
- Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment is advantageous
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about food safety standards and culinary processes
