The Senior Manager, OTTAVA Communications will sit out of our Santa Clara, CA office location on a hybrid work schedule. As Senior Manager, OTTAVA Communications for Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s Surgery business, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to create strategic communications programs that drive business outcomes. Reporting to the Director, OTTAVA Communications, this role will elevate our innovation story across surgical robotics and advanced surgical technologies for Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s Surgery business. This is a comprehensive communications role, covering employee and culture communications, executive communications, strategic messaging and narrative development, thought leadership, media relations and social media, and campaign activations. The Senior Manager, OTTAVA Communications will work closely with the Director to bring together R&D, clinical, medical, and business milestones to inform communications activations. This role will be required to build a deep understanding of surgery, technology development, clinical and medical data, and market opportunities that will inform an integrated global communications plan. Education Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (required). Experience 8+ years of professional experience in communications, marketing communications, public affairs, or related fields.Experience in healthcare, MedTech, robotics, or highly technical industries preferred Demonstrated experience creating high‑quality written and visual content across multiple formats. Experience working cross‑functionally with matrixed teams and managing complex workflows. Skills Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Familiarity with digital, social, and multimedia communication platforms.
