- # Environmental, Safety & Health Coordinator SrApplyremote type: Remotelocations: Beason, ILtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: August 24, 2026 (11 days left to apply)job requisition id: R17281**Job Posting End Date**08-24-2026Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date**Job Summary**• Responsible for coordinating the implementation of environmental compliance programs, permit requirements, and corporate environmental policies, standards, procedures, and strategic goals within their assigned region, plant, and project scope. • Responsible for preparing, advising, and assisting management on the administration of safety and health (S&H) event prevention policies and procedures, including public safety matters. • Responsible for coordinating and implementing the safety and health programs within their assigned region, or facility. • Works with corporate Safety and Health management in the development and implementation of advanced safety and health training programs applicable to their geographic region or technical expertise.**Job Description**# **What you’ll do:*** # Instructs, advises, and assists management and personnel to carry out the company's environmental, safety and health programs.* # Prepares and delivers training and familiarization topics of the company's environmental, safety and health programs to employees* # Conducts observations and coaching of AEP personnel to ensure the successful implementation of the company's safety and health programs.* # Provides support during environmental, safety, and health compliance audits and inspections.* # Coordinates and responds to public inquiries regarding environmental matters.* # Develops and maintains environmental documents and records for compliance regulations.* # Advises and assists management in post-event safety and health causal analysis* # Provides support in the event of a release or discharge of a regulated substance including making any necessary agency notifications, arranging contractor support, directing clean-up efforts, and follow-up reports with regulatory agencies.* # Maintains a good working knowledge of any applicable federal, state, or local rules and regulations pertaining to safety and health.* # Promotes and enforces the company's safety and health event prevention programs.# **What we’re looking for:**# **Environmental, Safety & Health Coordinator Sr – (SG7)*** # Bachelor’s degree in safety, Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, or another relevant field.* # OR associate degree in a relevant field with four years of experience in power plant or utility field operations.* # OR High School Diploma/GED with six years of experience in Environmental, Safety & Health program administration and related field experience.* # In addition to the education requirements listed, a minimum of four years of experience in Environmental, Safety and Health program administration, or a minimum of four years of experience power plant or utility field operations.# **Other requirements:*** # Proficient oral and written skills* # Basic computer skills are required* # Position involves daily travel with occasional overnight travel* # Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and independence* # Must be physically able to climb 300 feet of ladder and work on elevated platforms.* # The maximum weight of the employee is 265lbs due to limitations associated with climbing safety equipment# **Should have an advanced understanding of the following programs and concepts:*** # OSHA regulations* # Safe electrical work practices* # Clearance / Lock Out Tag Out requirements and procedures* # GWO safety standards for working at heights and advanced rescue* # Confined space regulations and procedures, including confined space rescue* # Environmental requirements for above ground and underground storage tanks* # Transportation of hazardous materials* # Spill prevention control and countermeasures* # Oil & chemical spill response and management* # Wastewater, storm water, and drinking water sampling, reporting and controls* # Pollution preventing* # Federal and state wildlife conservation policies# **Licenses / Certifications:*** # Valid driver’s license# **In addition:*** # Travel time ranges from 60 to 80% with some overnight stays required on occasion.* # Flexibility on work schedule.# **Where you’ll work:*** # This role is working remotely due to travel, but prefer the candidate be living in or near Fort Wayne, IN, Beason, IL, Grover Hill, OH or Roanoke, VA# **What you’ll get:**# Environmental, Safety & Health Coordinator Sr – (SG7) ($87,633 -
