Job Summary for Sr. Level Oracle SOA/Dell Boomi Consultant
- Responsible for the technical design, development, maintenance, and support of Oracle SOA system integrations with a strong focus on systems integration architecture.
- Serve as the primary or backup technical resource for Fusion Middleware-based solutions.
- Define, design, and implement complex SOA composites using BPEL, OSB, Human workflow, Business rules, JDeveloper, XML, Java, SOAP, REST, and related technologies.
- Support, troubleshoot, and monitor SOA processes, including root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain Oracle ADF and/or Oracle APEX applications for middleware uses.
- Implement secure web services, custom exception handling, logging, auditing, and user notification features.
- Collaborate with Fusion Middleware Architects, Application Developers, Business Analysts, and other IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in system upgrades, patching, and migration efforts, including possible migration from SOA on-premises to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Prepare technical design documents, unit test plans, and integration plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Interface with other IT areas, end users, and external vendors/partners during various phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct research and evaluation of new technologies and provide alternative solutions as needed.
- Provide production support for existing Java applications and new development initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to change management procedures and maintain project documentation and schedules.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices for SOA and related technologies.
- Manage multiple projects or high-priority support issues simultaneously.
- Desired bonus experience in IBM Maximo, Documentum, Fusion HCM Cloud, Oracle Access Management Suite, WebLogic administration, BAM, BPM, and Business Rules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in system design and methodologies, including Oracle BPEL, XML, XSLT, XSD's, Java, and Oracle Service Bus.
- At least 3 years' experience in SOA support, SOA architecture, governance, and implementation.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in J2EE, WebLogic, Web Services, and Oracle RDBMS.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), EBS Analytics, Single Sign On, dashboards for SOA activity, and migration to Oracle Integration Cloud.
