Principal Software Engineer

Role Description

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer who can step into an established B2B platform, understand what is working, identify what needs to change, and help build what comes next. You will own the work from architecture through deployment, which includes:

• Auditing existing applications
• Strengthening the current platform
• Designing new features
• Leading the development of scalable systems that support a growing number of users and connected devices

This role requires someone who can go deep technically while still understanding the business problem behind the code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 7 to 8 years of experience in software design and product development
• Strong experience building B2B software products
• Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting full-stack systems
• Experience supporting applications with significant user or device traffic
• Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle
• Experience with object-oriented design, programming, design patterns, and related frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Angular or Vue, TypeScript, and Bootstrap
• Strong working knowledge of REST APIs and GraphQL
• Experience with Linux-based backend environments and browser-based front-end technologies
• Experience working within serverless AWS environments
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Fluency with C#, .NET, Node, and Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong understanding of modern UI and UX design principles
• Proven ability to analyze existing code, identify weaknesses, and develop stronger solutions
• Experience leading, mentoring, and training other engineers
