IT Hardware Technician

We are currently hiring an IT Hardware Technician based in Murrieta, CA. This is an entry level position and provides internal support to our growing organization. Responsibilities Image, configure and ship Windows 11 laptops. Follow company processes and checklists to complete tasks consistently and accurately. Configure Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive. Install third-party software. Update the inventory system regarding equipment being processed. Work within the IT ticketing system to update laptop deployment tickets. Communicate via Email, MS Teams, ticketing system, phone, and in person with the IT team and company colleagues. Remote into users’ computers to assist with final setup, software installs, troubleshooting, and issue resolution as needed. Use Active Directory and Azure Active Directory to retrieve information, assign permissions, reset passwords, etc. Create shipping labels using UPS WorldShip; package laptops, peripherals, and other equipment. Coordinate with hardware vendors to troubleshoot issues or arrange warranty repairs. Accurately document hardware failures, repairs, installations, and removals. Work in an IT helpdesk environment, develop troubleshooting skills, escalate tickets as necessary. Additional duties may include processing, shipping and receiving of cell phones, computer accessories, printers, etc. Attend and perform duties during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills Familiarity with Windows 11 OS. Experience with hands-on repair of damaged laptops and coordinating with vendors for in-warranty repair. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Strong troubleshooting, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently. Ability to provide high level customer service to team members. Education and Experience (Preferred) Education: High school diploma or equivalent and A+ or Dell Hardware certification in progress/received. Experience: 6 months to 1 year hands-on hardware repair of computer endpoint hardware. Certifications (Preferred) CompTIA A+ in progress or certification received.
