Perimeter Healthcare is a leading provider of behavioral and mental healthcare services, dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting recovery and improved well-being. Through compassionate, evidence-based treatment, we serve children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of care settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient programs. We are currently seeking compassionate, patient-focused Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. 

As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering quality nursing care within a therapeutic environment. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient recovery, promote safety, and provide exceptional care to patients and their families.

Essential Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to children, adolescents, and adults receiving behavioral health services.
• Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to the treatment team.

Collaboration & Advocacy

• Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans and achieve patient goals.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Advocate for patient needs, rights, and overall well-being.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and team members.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic treatment environment.

• Support and assist fellow nursing staff as needed.
• Serve as a positive role model within the organization.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Required

• Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact State RN license eligible to practice in Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care .

Preferred

• P revious behavioral health, psychiatric, or pediatric nursing experience.
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.

Schedule

• Full-time opportunities available
• 12-hour shifts
• Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekend rotation required
