LKSA Swim Instructor

Job Description Job Description The LKSA Swim Instructor will report to the LKSA Managing Director and will instruct lessons in the Swim Right Method® curriculum of the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy at the Dallas JCC. This part time, nonexempt position will work a maximum of 29 hours a week (weekend hours required). This position does not offer benefits. EOE (equal opportunity employer). RESPONSIBILITIES: · Instruct swim lessons in the Swim Right® Method · Adhere to LKSA policies and procedures · Maintain professional appearance and attitude · Work within the swim instructor team · Maintain logs of student progress and attendance · Maintain cleanliness of pool deck and pool office · Maintain safety and work as part of the aquatics safety team REQUIREMENTS: · Previous experience in swim instruction preferred · 40+ Hour Swim Right Method® training included · 2 weeks of training and shadowing with senior LKSA staff · Customer service experience/training It is expected that the LKSA Swim Instructor will be a team player as part of the Sports and Fitness team as well as the JCC Professional Staff team. He/she is expected to be aware of the JCC Mission Statement and to work within the framework of the mission statement. He/she is expected to be innovative, imaginative and a positive role model. He/she must strive to provide the best program available for our members. His/her customer service skills and interpersonal skills must impact every aspect of the job. Responsibilities of the job may be changed as the needs of the JCC and/or community change. However, this will not be done without prior consultation with the Aquatics Director.
