Let’s get started. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing assignments requiring interpretation and application of federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Assisting with wildlife and botanical surveys, including vegetation mapping, under supervision. Wetland delineations. Authoring and preparing technical reports. Environmental compliance monitoring, coordinating with project teams, and conducting worker environmental awareness programs. Data collection, entry, interpretation, and analysis. Willingness to work out of town occasionally. Performing other related duties such as team coordination and scheduling. Additional opportunities for skills development: Preparing biological resources sections of CEQA and NEPA documents. Implementing mitigation, restoration, and monitoring plans. Handling sensitive species permits. Wetlands permitting. Tree inventories and arborist surveys. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1-2+ years of experience for entry level, 5+ for mid-level. Training in relevant biological disciplines. Knowledge of California flora and fauna. Ability to map vegetation and identify habitats. Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Willingness to perform extensive fieldwork in challenging conditions. Preferred Skills/Experience: Strong field skills and endangered species experience. Wetland delineation experience. Experience with construction crews and GIS software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of related experience or equivalent. Willingness to work out of town and on weekends.
