Contract Psychiatrist – State Correctional Facility (Corcoran, CA)

Job Highlights

●      Title: Contract Psychiatrist (Outpatient Forensic / Correctional)
●      Location: Adult men’s state correctional facility – Corcoran, CA
●      Contract Type: 6–12 month relief contract (ASAP start)
●      Schedule: In-person, full time, 4x10h or 5x8h  Mon-Fri, 7 a.m.–5 p.m. for at least 6 months

Top qualifications:

●      MD or DO required ; Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry .
●      Active California medical license and active California DEA .
●     At least 12 months of adult psychiatry experience in the last 3 years (inpatient or high-acuity preferred).
●      BLS certification and medical malpractice insurance required.
●     Experience in correctional / forensic psychiatry and comfort with high-acuity, justice-involved patients.
●     Familiarity with Cerner EHR .
