The Physician Assistant for Brain Injury assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards.

Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p

Responsibilities include providing medical services under the supervision of a licensed physician, performing accurate history and physical assessments, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and diagnostic studies, managing general medical and surgical conditions, prescribing medication safely and effectively, promoting Hackensack Meridian Health PA practice recognition, providing patient- and family-centered care, practicing as a healthcare provider according to rules and regulations, applying evidence-based and value-based medicine, evaluating patient/family transition of care planning, demonstrating clinical expertise, translating best practice into clinical practice, providing culturally sensitive and educationally appropriate health management education, facilitating consistent, coordinated care, serving as an advocate for patients and families, participating in clinical research activities, complying with HMH and department-specific scope of services, policies and procedures, adhering to HMH infection control and safety policies, and other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications include successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient computer skills, Physician Assistant License, National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification, and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Compensation is a minimum rate of $149,177.60 Annually. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
