Rather than simply taking orders, you'll guide guests through our teas, recommend beverages based on their preferences, and create memorable experiences from the moment they walk through our doors. You'll also prepare handcrafted beverages with precision, assist with retail tea sales, and continuously develop your knowledge of tea through our in-house training program. No prior tea knowledge is required—we're looking for curiosity, passion, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Guest Experience Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality Introduce customers to our tea collection and unique offerings Recommend teas and beverages based on individual preferences Create memorable experiences through thoughtful conversation and tea education Support afternoon tea experiences and tea tastings Beverage Preparation Prepare tea beverages according to Chaffee's quality standards Brew traditional loose-leaf teas with consistency and precision Prepare specialty drinks, tea lattes, and signature beverages Maintain presentation standards for every drink served Retail Tea Educate guests on our premium loose-leaf teas Explain tea origins, flavor profiles, and brewing recommendations Assist customers in selecting teas, teaware, and gifts Package retail products with care and attention to detail Operations Operate POS and process transactions Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the boutique Restock inventory and assist with opening and closing duties Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Support occasional special events and tea experiences Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, eager to learn, and excited to help others discover the world of tea. Is dependable, responsible, and works well in a collaborative team environment. Thrives in a fast-paced setting while staying organized and composed. Is available to work flexible hours, including weekends. Can stand for extended periods and perform the physical responsibilities of the role.
