Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and 2+ years of experience for a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital's Radiation Oncology department.

Details

• Level 1 trauma acute care hospital setting within a Radiation Oncology department
• Adult and pediatric patient population with minimal pediatric case volume
• Average caseload of 25 patients per linear accelerator (50 total) plus 6-9 CT simulation patients daily
• Advanced treatment modalities including IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT
• Uses Varian TrueBeam and Varian Trilogy linear accelerators, and Siemens Somatom CT simulator
• Uses Aria EMR (required) and Epic (preferred)
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 or possibly 4x10 hour shifts
• Weekends and holidays as scheduled
• No floating or call/standby requirements
• Radiation Oncologists on-site

Requirements

• WV state license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (T) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Experience with Varian treatment machines, TrueBeam preferred
• Experience with high patient volume caseloads and mixed adult/pediatric populations

Additional Information

• Department-specific orientation provided
• Supervised by a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech
• Gray scrub color required
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates and local travelers not accepted
• Previous perm employees must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
• Previous travelers who worked a full year must take a 2-year break before returning
• Open to first-time travelers with appropriate experience
