2nd Shift Shipping & Receiving – Temp-to-HireWe are seeking a dependable, hands-on Shipping & Receiving Associate for a 2nd shift temp-to-hire opportunity. This position involves shipping and receiving duties as well as building wooden crates, so candidates should have previous carpentry or woodworking experience and be comfortable using power tools.Schedule & TrainingTraining: Candidates must be able to train on 1st shift for a few weeks.1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PMAfter Training – 2nd Shift:Monday–Thursday: 3:30 PM–1:00 AMFriday: 3:30 PM–7:30 PMResponsibilitiesBuild and assemble wooden shipping cratesMeasure and cut wood accurately according to specificationsSafely operate table saws, nail guns, and other hand/power toolsRead and accurately use a tape measurePrepare, package, and secure products for shipmentAssist with general shipping and receiving dutiesLoad, unload, and move materials as neededMaintain a clean and safe work areaFollow all company safety proceduresQualificationsPrevious carpentry, woodworking, crating, or similar hands-on experienceComfortable and experienced using table saws and nail gunsMust be able to read a tape measure accuratelyAbility to work safely around tools and equipmentDependable attendance and ability to work the full 2nd-shift scheduleMust be available to train on 1st shift for several weeksTow motor/forklift experience is a plusShipping and receiving or warehouse experience is preferredIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing hands-on work. Someone with a background in carpentry, construction, woodworking, crate building, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing could be a great fit.
