- Diligently evaluate patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through structured assessments and observational techniques.
- Craft tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions.
- Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care strategies.
- Facilitate patient and family education to encourage progress beyond appointment times.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care during treatment.
- Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Keep abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration among peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hiring.
- Expertise in implementing evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and maintaining proper documentation standards.
