Employment Litigation Associate

Hybrid Schedule | 2 Remote Days Per Week About the Opportunity DNA Partners is partnering with a well-established national law firm to identify an Employment Litigation Associate for its Long Beach office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 2-5 years of labor and employment experience who enjoys counseling employers, managing employment disputes, and working on sophisticated workplace matters. The position offers hands-on litigation experience, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative and growing Labor & Employment practice. Key Responsibilities Advise employers on a broad spectrum of workplace issues, including wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave laws, and evolving employment regulations. Represent management-side clients in federal and state court litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings. Defend employers in matters involving wage and hour claims, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and breach of employment agreements. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings, including dispositive motions. Conduct legal research, manage discovery, prepare witnesses, and participate in depositions and fact investigations. Respond to agency charges, administrative complaints, and regulatory inquiries. Draft and review employment agreements, separation agreements, restrictive covenant provisions, and other employment-related documents. Collaborate with clients to develop practical strategies for managing workplace risk and resolving disputes. Qualifications Active membership in the California Bar and good standing. 2-5 years of employment law experience, including litigation and employer counseling. Experience advising employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills. Demonstrated experience handling employment litigation matters from inception through resolution. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-service skills. Strong judgment and a practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving. Why Join This Firm?
