American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a rehab therapy unit requiring 2 years of hospital experience and preferred inpatient rehab and stroke evaluation skills.
Rehab Therapy unit within an acute care hospital with 44 beds
Patient ratio of 4:1
Unit staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
Equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego
Documentation completed in Meditech Expanse
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
May float to acute hospital units if rehab census is low
Unit holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
License required if applicable
Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
Hospital and inpatient rehab experience preferred
Stroke evaluation and treatment experience preferred
Experience with manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stim
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Use AIDET communication framework and provide immediate service recovery with patients
Black scrub bottoms and royal blue top preferred for dress code
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Local candidates will not be considered
