IFS Software EngineerAn employer is looking for an IFS Software Engineer to sit remotely. You will primarily be responsible for configuring, administering, and continuously improving the IFS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP, EAM, and FSM) platform, with a primary focus on the Vehicle Procurement and Asset Management solution domains. This role serves as the technical and functional subject matter expert, bridging business operations and enterprise technology, ensuring that fleet acquisition workflows, asset lifecycle processes, and maintenance management functions are optimally supported within IFS Applications. Key responsibilities include:System Configuration & Administration:Configure and maintain IFS modules including Fleet Management, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Inventory, Work Order Management, and Maintenance Planning.Manage IFS object structures, custom fields, workflows, permission sets, and event actions aligned to vehicle procurement and asset lifecycle processes.Administer IFS settings, including the low-code/no-code configuration tool for user-defined fields, new pages, and the Business Process Automation tool.Support and configure the IFS web client and mobile interfaces for end users.Vehicle Procurement Support:Configure and maintain IFS Procurement workflows covering vehicle requisitioning, purchase order management, supplier contracts, and goods receipt.Manage vehicle catalog structures, standard cost models, and supplier integration within IFS.Support end-to-end procurement cycle, including bid management, approval routing, contract lifecycle, and asset capitalization upon delivery.Coordinate with finance to ensure correct asset capitalization, depreciation scheduling, and integration with IFS Financials.Asset Management:Own configuration of IFS Fixed Assets and Equipment/Object modules for vehicle and fleet asset tracking, including asset hierarchies, location tracking, and classification structures.Maintain asset lifecycle workflows from commissioning through disposal, including transfer, revaluation, and decommissioning processes.Configure and support Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans, work orders, and service schedules for fleet assets within IFS Maintenance Management.Support integration between IFS Asset Management and telematics/GPS systems for mileage and condition data ingestion.Integration & Technical Development:Design and support integrations between IFS and external systems (telematics platforms, dealer management systems, financial systems) using IFS Connect, REST APIs, and/or IFS Integration Framework.Develop and maintain IFS custom reports using IFS Report Studio; build operational dashboards in IFS Lobby.Write and maintain custom IFS events, actions, and business logic, including custom entity configurations.Support IFS Cloud update initiatives, including regression testing, data migration validation, and cutover planning between IFS instances (Dev, Test, Prod, etc.).User Support & Training:Provide Tier 2/3 functional and technical support for IFS issues related to fleet procurement and asset management.Develop and deliver end-user training programs, job aids, and process documentation.Translate business requirements from fleet operations, procurement, and finance teams into IFS functional specifications.Partner with business analysts and project managers on IFS enhancement projects and system rollouts.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
