Position Details

• Schedule: Night Shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Location: Riverhead, NY
• Setting: Correctional Facility

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and monitor inmate patient health status.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
• Document patient care accurately within electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Monitor chronic and acute medical conditions and provide ongoing patient education.

 

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Correctional, emergency room, behavioral health, medical-surgical, or long-term care experience is a plus.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
