OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Lift Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Springfield, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing lift trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on lift trucks and related equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Inspect and test lift trucks to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in lift truck technology.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics is a plus.
- Proven experience as a lift truck mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate lift trucks safely.
