Successful candidates must be comfortable working with multiple clients both virtually and on-site. The Accountant will interact with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees on a regular basis. This position offers promotion potential to a Controller-level position, to ensure the growth and success of our employees.ResponsibilitiesWeekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payrollBank account and balance sheet reconciliationsMonthly financials and related analysisGrant tracking and monitoringCash flow projections and monitoringPreparation for outside auditsQualificationsBachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance5+ years of accounting experience required; public accounting, client service, or outsourced accounting experience preferredStrong interest in supporting nonprofit organizations and their missionsAdvanced proficiency in accounting technology, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple accounting systems; QuickBooks experience is a plusStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesNonprofit accounting experience is preferred, but candidates with a strong desire to learn the nonprofit sector are encouraged to applyWillingness to travel to client offices as neededOur employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clientsYPTC OffersA Best Place to Work!
