Job Details: Level: Entry | Job Location: HEADQUARTERS - Medford, OR 97501 | Position Type: Full Time | Salary Range: $15.55 - $15.55 Hourly | Job Shift: Day | Job Category: Retail The Custodian provides general janitorial services daily by maintaining common areas, restrooms, offices, and parking lots. Maintains grounds by cleaning high traffic areas, removing debris, sweeping, and emptying trash containers. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Perform general janitorial duties including vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash and recycling containers, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, cleaning windows and floors, and spot-cleaning other areas as needed. Perform general outdoor custodial duties including sweeping parking lots, picking up litter, and emptying trash containers. Inspect janitorial closet and restrooms daily for cleanliness and restocking of products. Maintain department equipment and tools in good working order. Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission. Standards of Performance and Conduct Work collaboratively to achieve overall organizational goals. Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety, loss prevention, and risk management for self and others into daily activities and actively participate in Goodwill safety programs. Consistently maintain acceptable level of productivity. Require punctual and regular attendance. Time away from work is approved and taken in accordance with established policies. Perform job duties in a prompt, thorough and acceptable manner. Perform duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects Goodwill’s mission, philosophy, and core values of respect, excellence, and stewardship, in accordance with Goodwill policies, procedures, CARF standards, and generally accepted business practices. Qualifications Willing and able to follow Southern Oregon Goodwill’s formal Code of Conduct. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity, contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. Education, training and/or credentialing appropriate for an entry-level custodial staff member. Familiar with janitorial techniques and safe, proper use of janitorial products. Understand and utilize Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Able to independently manage tasks and set priorities. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma preferred. Exercise good judgment, resourcefulness, and initiative. Ability to safely operate custodial equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
