CNC Machinist - Third Shift

CNC Machinist - Third Shift Location: Mason, Ohio. Shift: Third. Work type: Full Time. Department: Production. Company: Festo Corporation. Summary of Job Contents Sets up and operates CNC lathe machines to produce parts for pneumatic cylinders and manifolds, including cutting and machining rods and barrels used in assembly. Operates specialty machinery such as tube cutter, tube deburrer, tube polisher, rod saw, flat press, and roller burnishing machine. Key Accountabilities Performs complex CNC machine setups Read, write and modify programs for CNC lathe machines Makes production components to critical blueprint tolerances Makes piston rods on CNC lathe and operates various parts on CNC milling machine Makes production parts on manual lathe and milling machines as required Set up CNC machines to produce parts to drawing specifications Perform first piece inspection to drawing specifications Change tool offsets to maintain dimensions per production drawings Read inspection equipment in inch and metric increments (caliper, micrometer, depth gauge, last word indicator, pitch micrometer etc.) Verifies conformance of all components to specifications Uses roller burnishing machines to finish piston rods and washes rods in cleaning solution before assembly Knowledge and Experience Experience in manufacturing/warehouse/machine shop or equivalent education/experience Basic computer skills Experience with SAP or similar system is a plus Knowledge of hand tools and metric system Knowledge of basic machine practices and safety standards Knowledge of measuring equipment and machine tools Benefits 4 weeks vacation Monthly bonus for all hourly employees based on plant‑wide goals Hourly Bonus — earn up to 5% of base wages per month based on: 25% Individual Safety & Security 35% Individual Attendance 40% Department Performance Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Flexible Spending Programs Short-term and Long-term disability 401(k) matching Pet insurance Paid holidays and paid time off Educational assistance and many more Equal Opportunity Employer Festo is an equal opportunity employer.
