The nurse will manage a variety of patient diagnoses, including complex admissions. The nurse is expected to provide comprehensive patient care within their scope. Night shifts will consist of 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend coverage is required. Holiday coverage may also be needed as scheduled. The nurse will work with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient support. The average daily census includes a minimum of 10 boarders, up to 40 boarders daily. The nurse will monitor and interpret telemetry readings for patients. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing a wide variety of equipment and procedures, including IVs and telemetry. The nurse should be skilled in patient assessments, medication administration, and care planning. Strong organizational and communication skills are required to ensure patient safety and quality care. Flexible scheduling and a willingness to float between units as needed are mandatory.
