Senior Internal Auditor

Internal Audit Manager $90k-$115k base salary (depending on experience) Greater Tucson, AZ (hybrid schedule) Vaco has partnered with a great company in the Tucson area looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join the team. Responsibilities Plan, manage, and perform specialized investigative audits, including determining audit objectives and scope, identifying, and assessing risks, developing time budgets and audit programs, and ensuring compliance with Internal Audit work paper standards for each audit. Perform examinations of specialized operations to determine compliance with all pertinent statutes, policies, procedures, effectiveness in meeting operational requirements, efficiency, and sound accounting principles and practices and serve as a consultant for departments on such matters. Assist in the development of the annual audit plan, execution, monitoring, and risk assessment, especially for area(s) of expertise. Examine records of institutional fiscal expenditures in assigned area(s) for compliance with all pertinent external controls, reporting methods and limitations. Analyze/evaluate results of audits performed and develop recommendations to correct deficiencies. Qualifications BS in Accounting or Finance required 4-8+ years of internal audit experience required Big 4 or public accounting experience a huge plus but not required Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
